Netflix Originals Coming to Netflix in November 2017

November 2017 will soon be here and with it loads of brand new Netflix Originals arriving onto Netflix. In November, we’ll have quite a few series returning series but there’s also plenty of debuts too including a fantastic new Western series and a co-production time period drama from Canada. 

This list will expand as we learn of new titles that are coming to Netflix in November, plus we’ll have a full preview towards the end of October with more titles that are headed our way from other providers.

Alias Grace (Season 1)

Release Date: November 3rd

Much like this year’s earlier series Anne with an E, Netflix will once again be teaming up with CBC in Canada to help co-produce and distribute globally (excluding Canada) the new time period drama, Alias Grace. Based on the novel of the same name from 1996, the series will be following in the footsteps as some other recent adaptations of Margaret Atwood’s work such as The Handmaid’s Tale and Wandering Wenda.

The series stars Sarah Gadon who plays Grace Marks, a convicted murderess who the prison she is held at hires her out to the local government to work as their servant.


Lady Dynamite (Season 2)

Release Date: November 10th

The first series received a lot of high praise when it first landed back in July 2016 and has been classed as one of the most influential comedy series in recent memory. The series, starring Maria Bamford, takes many queues from the likes of Master of None and Louie by following her life on becoming a comedian. The series takes a different approach when dealing with mental health as it’s one of the main topics of the show and why it gets such praise.


She’s Gotta Have It (Season 1)

Release Date: November 23rd

Shes Gonna Have It

Looking to once again capitalize on the success of Netflix’s hit Dear White People, they’re adapting Spike Lee’s first breakout movie She’s Gotta Have It into a new series. Spike Lee is returning Arriving just in time for Thanksgiving, it follows Nola Darling as she attempts to balance her life between her job, friends and three separate lovers.


Godless (Season 1)

Release Date: November 22nd

Starring Jeff Daniels, this new Western drama should be on anyone’s radar who’s a fan of the genre. The series is a limited series meaning we won’t be getting any more episodes after the six episodes drop on November 22nd. Set during the 1880’s it’ll follow the gang headed up by Frank Griff (played by Daniels) as they head for refuge in a town where it’s made up solely of women.

Glitch (Season 2)

Release Date: November 22nd

Glitch Season

The Australian paranormal show that surprised audiences when it dropped on Netflix last October but is back for its second season. The series which sees the dead rising back to perfect help. The series has been airing in Australia for the past few weeks but will be added to Netflix in full on November 22nd and reports from Australian outlets shows we have a lot to look forward to in the next six episodes.


Longmire (Season 6)

Release Date: November 17th, 2017

Only available in United States, Australia, Canada and New Zealand

Netflix has finally released the release date of the sixth and final season of Longmire. Picked up a few years ago from A&E, Netflix set out to continue the story of Walt Longmire based on the books by Craig Johnson. The final season has promised to send the series off in style after a few exclusive seasons by Netflix. Only a few regions are covered by this exclusivity so check above to see whether or not you’ll be streaming at the end of November.


Brian Regan: Nunchucks and Flamethrowers

Release Date: November 21st, 2017

The first standup special from US comedian, Brian Regan will be arriving on November 21st, 2017. The comic is rare given the fact he doesn’t use profanity or involve controversial subjects. One thing the comedian is good at however, is beating himself up. With words anyway.


The Punisher (Season 1)

Release Date: TBD

The Punisher Season Netflix

Although it hasn’t been given an exact day of release just yet, the official release date for The Punisher has been stated as just being in November. The spinoff series which was curated after mass fan outcry after his debut in Daredevil will dig deeper into Frank’s past. This will also be the first year where we’ve had three Marvel exclusive series drop on Netflix and The Punisher is by far and away the most anticipated.
