David Letterman back and arguably better than ever before. A new episode of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction arrives once a month of a date announced the previous episode. As of the initial time of writing, there have been four episodes released so far. Here are the other guests currently scheduled to be appearing on the Netflix talk show down the road.
In case you’re not familiar with the show or David Letterman, allow us to catch you up. David Letterman is a world-renowned talk show host who previously hosted the Late Show and Last Night which ran from 1982 to 2015.
The show was first ordered back in August 2017 and season 1, consisting of six episodes began in 2018.
Upcoming Guests – Season 1
Episode 6 – Howard Stern
Releasing: May 31st
Radio personality and so-called shock jock who’s currently known for hosting The Howard Stern Show on Sirius XM will be Dave’s final guest. The pair has a long history of being interviewed by each other both on radio and TV.
A short clip was released on May 21st revealing that Donald Trump will be a major topic in during the expected hour-long interview.

Episode 1 – “It’s a Whole New Ball Game Now”
Featured Guest: Barack Obama
Released: January 12th, 2018
In the first public interview since handing the reigns over to Donald Trump, this was the first chance that Barack has spoken since his presidency came to an end at the end of 2016. The show also featured a segment where Dave and Congressman John Lewis walk across the Edmund Pettus Bridge, site of the civil rights movement in 1965.
Episode 2 – “You Be the Newsman, I’ll Be Liz Taylor”
Featured Guest: George Clooney
Released: February 9th
A large portion of this interview was spent with George Clooney’s parents who helped a refugee settle into the United States. We also see George and David enjoy an In-and-Out burger at LAX. The interview covers George’s career in acting as well as his wife.
Episode 3 – “You Know, She Has a Nobel Peace Prize”
Featured Guest: Malala Yousafzai
Released: March 9th
David Letterman sits down and talks with Malala Yousafzai who notably holds the noble peace prize thanks to her work to get girls into education and her incident which almost took her life. The out of interview segment sees Dave annoying people around the University of Oxford where she currently studies.

Jay-Z is a world-renowned music artist and businessman who sits down with David Letterman to recap his life and speak about his upcoming projects.
Episode 5 – Tina Fey “It’s Just Land Mine Hopscotch”
Released: May 4th, 2018
Tina Fey who is known for her comedy is most known for her role on Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock. The hour-long interview consisted of talking about Tina’s daughters, career and more. It’s one of the most interview heavy episodes during season 1 only cutting away a few times.
Will there be a Season 2?
As of right now, Netflix has yet to confirm whether there’ll be another season of My Next Guest With David Letterman. Letterman has not announced any other project which would prevent and looking at the hosts past, it’s likely he’ll stick around for the long haul.
As for a release date for a second season, it’s likely that it’d premiere in 2019 although you could see the series switch formats or adding a Christmas special.
